Quarantine policy risks driving tourists to European markets

Commenting on news that the EU is considering a “gradual and partial” easing of restrictions on visitors from outside Europe from July 1, Henry Smith MP, Chair of the Future of Aviation Group said:

“The 14-day quarantine period risks leaving Britain behind our European neighbours as they look to reopen to global trading partners.

“It is essential that the Government lifts the quarantine and introduces air bridges at the earliest possible opportunity to put our businesses on a level playing field with our European neighbours. We cannot allow a blunt, ill-judged and misguided approach to stunt our economic recovery.”
